Course Code: BFMP 3501
Academic Year: 2021-2022
This course prepares students for the fourth-year capstone projects which are the culmination of the Bachelor of Film and Media Production Degree program and which will serve as models for project development in their future careers. Students will survey a range of appropriate capstone projects including, among several options, short film scripts for production, experimental or documentary films and individually-written film and television scripts or series proposals. During the semester students will explore elements central to the development process including advanced story structure for short film, television and alternative media formats, adaptations, and crowdfunding. At the end of the semester students will submit their proposals to faculty for approval. Depending on the nature of the project, these proposals may also be pitched to a jury.
