This course examines theories of behaviour and applies these to the study of health promotion and health behaviour change. Using their own experiences and attitudes, students reflect on their own health behaviour and the process of making healthy behaviour changes. Students investigate techniques used to help people and communities make and sustain changes for improving health and wellness. Throughout the course, students practice important communication skills, including critical reading, listening and viewing, reflective writing, discussion, and oral presentation.
