Global & environmental health encourages students to utilize their fundamental knowledge of health and wellness and expand it to a global scale. Furthermore, students explore the impact that the environment and environmental hazards have on human health. Topics examined in this course include: history of global and environmental health, environmental surveillance, risk assessment, and the impact of human activity on the global environment. This course expands a student's knowledge of health and wellness beyond Canadian borders and broadens knowledge on the interaction between humans their environment.
