This course in Food, Nutrition and Active Living introduces credible, evidence-based food and nutrition information for the maintenance of health and the prevention of disease. Using this foundational knowledge students research and evaluate healthy living programs based on the clarity of message, and suitability and adaptability for specific populations. A final project requires students to collaborate with peers and the community to create and pilot a program for a pre-determined population.
