Applied Epidemiology

In the applied epidemiology course students will be introduced to the field of epidemiology. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of epidemiology including the distribution and determinants of disease, measurement of disease and impact, study design, interpreting biostatistics, and criteria for establishing causation. Building upon this foundation, the students examine selected communicable and chronic diseases as they relate to workplace health and wellness.
