In Applied Epidemiology, students explore the fundamental concepts of epidemiology, including the distribution and determinants of disease, measurement of disease frequency and impact, epidemiologic study design, biostatistics interpretation and criteria for establishing causation. Building upon this foundation, students examine selected communicable and chronic diseases as they relate to various contexts in the field of health and wellness.
