This course integrates and expands on the legal, security and ethical issues introduced in the first semester to include governance, metadata, data lineage, traceability, transparency and accountability. It further examines Canadian legislation, regulation and compliance codes, data privacy and security, intellectual property rights and the code of ethics and standards of conduct.
