In this course students will become proficient in the use of the fundamental tools of Excel and SPSS. Areas of study and practice include: 1. Excel: basic tools and functions; quantitative analysis using formulas, cross tabulations, statistical, and logical functions; data manipulation; and communications using charts, graphs and tables. 2. SPSS: basic tools and functions; quantitative analysis using hypothesis testing, ANOVA analysis, bivariate statistics and regression, and non-parametric tests. Visualization with these two programs will be explored.
