Data Mining, Modeling and Biostatistics

Course Code: BINF 5003

Academic Year: 2024-2025

The data mining, modeling and biostatistics course explores the different stages of data mining including problem identification, analytic file creation, analytics conduction, measurement and implementation. Learners will engage in the exploration of advanced data mining and modeling, along with the methods of measuring and designing anlaytic reports from data and databases. Students will explore data extraction, cleansing, transformation and key statistical analysis principles in a controlled setting that mimics real-life scenarios and challenges that are common in the field of clinical bioinformatics.
