Within this course, students explore current and emerging knowledge translations theories, methods and tools as needed within the clinical bioinformatics space. Knowledge translation theories are examined specifically from the Canadian perspective with Canadian guidelines and procedures. Students extend and apply their knowledge and skills from semester 1 courses and correlate knowledge translation with research in the Bioinformatics field. Key topics explored include knowledge creation, the knowledge-to-action process, knowledge user engagement, knowledge translation planning and interventions, and ethics in knowledge translation.
