Data Collection Techniques and Biostatistical Methods

Course Code: BIOT 153

Academic Year: 2020-2021

This course allows students to focus on the biostatistical and scientific principles in the mathematical application of data collection, data management, and data analyses. It lays the foundations for applying standards and methodology in statistical application with emphasis on research. Students explore the organization and graphical representation of data; measures of variation in descriptive statistics; probability distribution; confidence intervals; hypothesis testing; chi-square distribution (parametric vs. nonparametric statistical tests); regression and correlational analysis (Pearson and Spearman); Analysis of Variance involving ANOVA notation and Post Hoc Testing.
