Cell Physiology

Course Code: BIOT 253

Academic Year: 2020-2021

This course provides students with the foundation for understanding the mechanisms by which the body functions. Specifically, organ systems and the importance of cellular specialization leading to specific functions are examined. Through interactive lectures and in-class activities, students learn about the integrative function of all body components at all levels from cells to tissues, to organ systems, and the whole body. In addition, the concept of homeostasis at the molecular level through cellular responses to external and internal factors is explored.
