This course introduces students to organic chemistry and will explore key areas including: nomenclature, bonding, structure, resonance, reactivity, thermodynamics, kinetics, preparation and reactions. Leaners will gain the skills to describe the chemical and physical properties of various types of compounds while their reactions and transformations are explored. Learners will develop the stills to predict the outcome of and design synthetic reactions with the end goal of preparing target compound(s).
