This course assumes no accounting background on the part of students. The course covers the complete accounting cycle, from the recording of transactions in journals through to the preparation of various types of financial statements used by businesses. Various books of entry are introduced. Business terms will be introduced throughout the course. The goal of the course is to give students a basic understanding of how business transactions are recorded and summarized into financial statements to be used by the business in managing operations.
