This course is designed to develop a working knowledge of financial statements analysis and interpretation. Emphasis will be placed on a practical approach to forecasting techniques. Topics covered will include income statements, statements of retained earnings, balance sheets, collateral security, debts vs. equity capital structures, capital financing, cost of financing, cost of capital, depreciation and amortization, capital cost allowance, lease vs. buy options, sources and forms of financing and working capital management.
