Students will be introduced to the technology behind the transmission of broadcast programming in the digital age. This course familiarizes students with the standards of analogue and digital NTSC broadcasting, SMPTE time code requirements and setup and synchronization of technical equipment in broadcast situations. Through a series of lectures, students explore the technological needs of broadcasters in North America.
