This course familiarizes students with the ingredients used in the production of skin, body-care and cosmetic products as they relate to general esthetic concerns in the market place. An understanding of skin types and conditions, cosmetic categories, ingredients and the manufacturing process provides a good basis for developing the students' knowledge of skincare and beauty products. Students will have an opportunity to learn about appropriate recommendations for clients; based on skin type and conditions to meet the clients' expectations and address concerns.
