This course will introduce students to the spa industry and provide knowledge on the history and development of spas; as well as what the future holds for this rapidly growing industry. Topics include spa facility and design; spa treatments, offerings, and esthetic equipment; marketing and promotions; safety and infection control; client management and software designed specifically for spas. There is a focus on good business practices, ethics, and human resources.
