It is important for today's business leaders to have an understanding of the markets/jurisdictions in which they work. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the rules within the Canadian legal system which most commonly affect businesses. Areas of importance include the Canadian constitution, the court system, administrative, tort and contract law and the forms of business organization. Students are also be exposed to topical legal issues such as the protection of intellectual property and privacy law and its impact on business and the marketing function.
