This course explores the advanced technologies and therapeutic devices used in managing severe cardiovascular conditions. Students will study the principles, indications, and complications associated with devices such as implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), and artificial heart pumps. The course covers in-depth analysis of device programming, patient monitoring, and troubleshooting. Emphasis is placed on clinical applications, device integration in patient care, and the evolving role of advanced devices in improving cardiovascular outcomes.
