This course will introduce students to the professional, personal, and inter-personal skills that are necessary in the field of Community Development. Topics include the placement preparation process, resume and portfolio building, interviewing skills as well as preparation for interviews and Field Practicum experiences. The course will also prepare students for Humber Community Development winter and summer practicums and the field projects that will be part of the practicum. Integrating knowledge and learning from other courses, students will have a comprehensive understanding of their role in various community programs and agencies. Students will develop the skills necessary to reflect on their personal and professional growth as a student.
