This course introduces the principles of construction law beginning with the requirements of the Canadian Construction Documents and the legal issues relevant to the construction industry in Canada. Students analyze important legal principles of project close out, warranties, contract law, tendering, construction liens, insurance, bonds, risk avoidance as well as labor and employment law.
