This course requires students to develop a thesis proposal, in preparation for successful completion of their senior level thesis project in the following semester. As such, the learning outcomes of this course are intended to guide the student through the rigorous process of transitioning their academic interests into a well-formulated and articulate research plan. Students are expected to engage in research relevant to child and youth care, demonstrating their grounding in responsible, ethical behavior and utilize appropriate investigative methods. As virtually all research knowledge is shaped through collaboration and interaction, students also will engage with projects designed by others, giving and receiving constructive feedback throughout the course.
