This course describes the social process of cosmetic and fashion acceptance and diffusion. Students learn to apply the principles of cosmetics and fashion and the respective theories as they relate to the analysis of trends. Students will study Fashion History through an in-depth 20th century decade review and its impact on cosmetic trends. This course will review political, socio-economic and fashion trends and their influence on today's cosmetics and fashions. Students develop skills in accurate qualitative and quantitative cosmetic/fashion reporting.
