The course covers the key concepts, techniques, methodologies and tools relevant to the process of developing information systems (IS). The course focuses on the development of design models of the system to be. The specifications of these models are built using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). In addition, the course covers the system development life cycle and concepts of IS development, deployment and project management respectively. Students will have a hands-on approach to systems design with tools used in a lab setting.
