This course provides students with a basic understanding of the theory and application of network security. Students will formulate and address the security needs of wired and wireless networks. The course begins with an exploration of security components within an enterprise network such as threats, attacks and vulnerabilities, device-level security, and access control & identity management. The course also covers transport level security, IP security, Virtual Private networks (VPNs), e-mail security, Wireless network security, and firewall.
