This course explores the principles, structure, and applications of blockchain technology with a focus on enhancing cybersecurity. Building on foundational courses such as Cryptography, Data and Information Security, and Network Security, students will analyze how blockchain can be used to secure digital assets, verify identities, and maintain integrity in distributed systems. The course covers consensus mechanisms, cryptographic protocols, and smart contracts, along with the challenges of scalability, privacy, and governance. Case studies from industries such as finance, healthcare, and supply chain management will demonstrate the practical applications of blockchain in addressing modern cybersecurity threats. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to design and evaluate blockchain-based solutions that strengthen security in decentralized environments.
