This course offers a study of the growth and development of the child from conception, prenatal development and birth to infancy, toddlerhood and early childhood. The physical, biosocial, cognitive, psychosocial and emotional factors will be considered. Special emphasis will be placed on emotional and behaviour difficulties that may arise due to interruptions of the normal developmental process.
