This course will examine the impact of biological, psychological and sociocultural factors that affect gender and sexuality in children and youth. This course will take an anti-oppressive, intersectional and developmental approach to understanding children and youth and the spectrum of gender and sexuality. Students will learn to think critically about identity and how this impacts young people over the course of their lives and in their individual social contexts.
