This course will examine the impact of biological, psychological, sociocultural and systemic factors that affect human sexual behaviour. The anti-oppressive and sex positive approaches taken within this course are also geared towards enhancing the student's development in teaching sex education to young people and family members; developing a comfort level with discussions related to sexual issues; and being able to competently and compassionately deal with sensitive sexual issues that arise when working with children and adolescents.
