Child and Youth Care Seminar provides students with weekly input and feedback on relational and clinical activities in their Work Integrated Learning settings. Child and Youth Care Seminar builds upon the modules and learning objectives of Field Experience 1 (CYC 2205). This course explores, evaluates and engages approaches of care within the Child and Youth Care Sector by utilizing modules addressing ethical practice, clinical report writing and documentation, interdisciplinary practice, and professional development activities. Group seminar discussions, readings, activities, reflections, self-evaluations and lecture content will aim to support students with their development as Child and Youth Care Practitioners.
