This course extends students' web design and development training by adding JavaScript to their HTML and CSS skills. The primary driver of interactivity on the web, JavaScript also offers its learners an invaluable introduction to programming. Students will gain familiarity with the basics, from variables, functions, and data types, to more advanced concepts, including objects, algorithms, APIs, libraries, and frameworks. Creative projects will let students explore storytelling applications for JavaScript, such as VR, AR, animation, mapping, and data visualization. By the end of the course, students will be able to use JavaScript to enhance the interactivity of their websites and accelerate their web development workflows.
