The skills taught in this course are essential skills necessary before the student starts the clinical placement. The student can scan the hearts of other classmates providing an optimal safe environment before using these skills on actual patients under direct and indirect supervision. The students will expand upon existing skills in cardiac anatomy. pathology and physical instrumentation. This course will introduce the usage of pulse wave and continuous wave Doppler to assess cardiac function and hemodynamics.
