This hands-on component of the program will allow the student to use the didactic knowledge acquired during classes and the practical skills learned through the labs on actual patients under direct supervision. The students will introduce and identify themselves as students, assess patients, obtain vitals, scan patients, and provide a preliminary report of their findings to the sonographer supervisor. The students will have the opportunity to ask the sonographer supervisor questions related to each scan obtained when needed.
