This course offers an introduction to sketching and drawing for interiors that includes the exploration of a variety of mediums. Through applying sketching techniques (freehand and scaled drawings) for one- and two-point perspectives, students will develop observational skills and demonstrate an understanding of proportion. Rendering skills will be developed as an integral part of design communication whether it is part of the design process or for finalized presentation. The rendering component of the course will also teach students how to work with light sources and include shading in their work. Additionally, students will practice rendering various materials and finishes.
