This course builds familiarity with industry terminology and design communication by specifically focusing on how to communicate and convert design concepts into detailed technical drawings for professional industry stakeholders. The course introduces the understanding of various trades and roles while providing the knowledge of residential construction projects and various systems (such as electrical/mechanical) required for an operational/functional project. The course provides information on the Ontario building code, sustainable practices, and the role and limitations a designer has in conducting site analysis.
