Students in this course learn topics in differential equations and numerical methods. In differential equations topics include first and higher orders, Laplace transforms, power series solutions ofsecond-order equations including Frobenius method, and the Fourier series solutions of partial differential equations with boundary conditions. In numerical methods, students learn how to find numerical solutions to problems which are difficult or impossible to solve analytically. Students will learn numerical methods for solving non-linear equations in one variable, systems of linear equations, numerical differentiation and integration, numerical solutions of ordinary differential equations, interpolation and curve fitting."
