This course presents an overview of drug therapy and the role of the Developmental Services Worker (DSW) in the safe administration of medications. It will also provide students with a foundation of knowledge about medications and practical experiences that can be supplemented throughout their professional lives. This course is a continuation of Basic Pharmacology 1. Medications used for infections and infestations, gastrointestinal, endocrine, respiratory, and nervous systems diseases and disorders will be examined in more detail.
