This course explores the D.S.W.'s unique and generic role in the human service delivery system. The professional ethics, decision-making, problem solving and strategies required in order to empower people with developmental challenges (of different cultural backgrounds) and their families in today's community. In fulfilling this role, effective participation as an agency employee, team member, supervisor and as a member of either management or a labour union is examined as basic to the D.S.W.'s professional identification and effective service delivery.
