Course Code: EAPC 108
Academic Year: 2022-2023
This independent study course is designed for students whose first language is not English and who are preparing for entry into a post-secondary institution. It focuses on helping students improve their English-language competence and study skills, as applied to academic contexts, at the low advanced level (Common European Framework of Reference for Language B2). Through the use of multi-media technology and specialized language learning software, this course will provide students with individual practice in listening, pronunciation, reading, writing, and grammar leading to the development of level-appropriate language skills. The activities in this course will complement other English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course work in the level.
