Foundations of Inclusion

Students examine how historical and emerging perspectives, approaches/frameworks shape the field of inclusion from the early years through to emerging adulthood. Students critically evaluate research relevant to supporting disability related inclusion and relate how this impacts the lifespan of the individual with diverse abilities. By examining existing inclusion policies and practice, students propose maintaining, revising, or crafting policies at the local and/or national level to demonstrate synthesis of learning.
