Community Collaboration and Advocacy

Students explore and network within the community to gain an understanding of how to seek supports, investigate possibilities, consult, and advocate with, for, and about the individual and family. Students demonstrate knowledge translation, leadership and facilitation skills with other team members throughout the responsive inclusive planning process. Students explore group facilitation skills and the importance of group dynamics in advocacy and decision making for individuals with disabilities and their families.
