This course provides an introduction to the principles of functionality of electronic devices and their applications in control systems. The topics include solid state devices, operational amplifiers, SCRs, TRIACs, and UJTs. In addition, the students will become familiar with the basic fundamentals of discrete control devices, photo couplers, pressure and temperature sensors, and noise reduction techniques in electronic circuits. Various electronic components and circuits will be experimentally tested and analyzed.
