Power Electronics

Course Code: ELIC 316

Academic Year: 2024-2025

This course begins with the examination of electronic power switching circuits from basic switch and relay circuits through to more complex phase control and PWM. The focus will then shift towards specialty power supply circuits such as switching power supplies, boost converters, and power inverters. New circuits and their application will be introduced regularly, increasing in complexity as the course progresses. Investigative experiments will provide insight into the details and characteristics of the circuits studied, along with their applications in industry.
