This course builds on the basic nutrition knowledge acquired from undergraduate course work by offering an interactive and comprehensive overview of the role nutrition plays on health, physical activity and disease. Using an evidence-based approach combined with hands-on activities, group discussion and case studies, students will explore topics such as nutrition for the prevention and management of disease, dietary supplements, nutrition for physical activity and performance, nutrition through the lifecycle and weight management. This course strongly emphasizes transitioning theory and knowledge into practice, preparing students for the workforce.
