This course provides students with the theory and skills required to assess a client's current risk stratification, physical fitness level, and overall wellness status. Students gain experience in administering health- and performance-related assessments of body composition, muscular strength, power and endurance, cardiorespiratory fitness, anaerobic fitness, flexibility/range of motion, and balance. Students gain competencies in pre-screening for physical activity and exercise, proper use of testing equipment, fitness assessment outcomes, and data interpretation.
