Students will understand the fundamentals of Food & Beverage concepts, trends, service styles, set-ups and dietary restrictions when planning an in-person and virtual event. Key certifications required in the Event Industry are also included: WHMIS and Smart Serve. Basic fundamentals of wines, beers, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages and how to plan based on budgetary constraints will provide the remaining foundational aspects of Food & Beverage for event professionals.
