This course will provide students with the professional standards and career planning skills required in planning for their work placement and ultimately a career within the events Industry. Students will be introduced to the various career paths available across multiple event Industry sectors and the key skill sets demanded by today's employers. Course work will assist students in their career planning, job search techniques, professionalism, and self-development. Students conduct job search strategies, prepare cover letters, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and digital portfolios, conduct informational interviews, and practice their interview skills through mock interviews.
