This course introduces promotion, advertising and e-marketing strategies and techniques used in fashion. Social media, along with traditional print and broadcast media and promotional events, provide today's marketers with a new set of tools to use in a business' overall integrated marketing communications strategy. While current methods used in fashion promotion are similar to those used in past decades, social changes and technological advances have spawned the growth of exciting new practices. This course bridges traditional marketing concepts and principles with contemporary applications, focusing on a social media framework. Discussion and evaluation of fashion promotions, advertising and social media marketing will also include its social, ethical and legal implications in the global environment.
