This course serves as an introduction to blood typing and DNA. Students develop the necessary skills for the collection and use of DNA and blood samples. Students identify the importance of DNA and blood profiling to the investigative process and have the opportunity to practice documenting, collecting and preserving evidence. An introduction to bloodstain pattern and analysis is included in this course with a live lab practical.
